PROCESS OF LEGISLATION AND TRAINING
Pursuant to the law no 5188, article 10 regarding Act of Private Security Services and Provisions of The Regulation, The conditions to be Private Security Officier are the followings;
THE CONDITIONS TO BE PRIVATE SECURITY OFFICIER:
a) To be a Turkish citizen.
b) To graduate from eight years primary education school or secondary school at least for unarmed officers; to graduate from high school or their equivalents at least for armed officiers.
c) To be at the age of 18 years for officiers to take training with unarmed, to be at the age of 21 years old to take an armed training for officiers.
d) To come out positively security investigation about an applicant (even if periods stated in Article 53, Turkish Penal Code expire; crimes about security of state even if applicant was sentenced to prison for one year or more or was pardoned because of intentionally commiting an offense, not to be condemned from crimes about constitutional order and related to running of the order, crimes about sexual immunity, crimes about public order, crimes about debit, extortion, bribery, knavery, forgery, breach of faith, fraudulent bankruptcy, conspiring to discharge of act, laundering asset value, smuggling or prostitution).
e) Not to have any handicapped physical and mental disease to pose an obstacle for working.(This issue is documented with medical report with a paragraph including ‘can be an armed private security officer’ or ‘have no objection for carrying or keeping firearm from full-fledged state hospitals for armed officiers; medical report with a paragraph including ‘can be a private security officier’ from privates health care organisation or public state for unarmed officiers to work). Medical report should include these examinations: Psychiatry is a psychiatric disease or personality disorder (psychopaty); an applicant does not have alcohol and drug addiction. Neurology; an applicant does not have any neurologic disease to constitute an impediment to perform a private security service. Eye: blindness, an applicant does not have night blindness disease. Ear-Nose-Throat (ENT): the applicant does not have any hearing loss to disease to constitute an impediment to perform a private security service. Orthopedics: an applicant does not have limitation of movement in musculoskeletal system on the highest degree.
f) To complete successfully basic training of private security.
