Private security guard candidates, who have received a Private Security Guard Identification Card (Work Permit) after completing their Basic Security Guard Training and having a Private Security Training Certificate issued in their name by successfully passing the private security exam organized by the Ministry of Interior, general Directorate of Security, Department of Public Order, Branch Office of Private Security Institutions, can work as a private security guard. Applications for Private Security Guard Identification Cards are filed to the Private Security Department of the Provincial Police Directorate in the province of official residence (If the locations of residence lies within the area under the authority of the gendarmerie, applications are filed to the Provincial Gendarmerie Command).

 

Documents Required for Work Permit of Persons, Who Shall Work as a Private Security Guard for the First Time

 

	Diploma photocopy (1 copy, notary    approved) (Notary approved photocopies are requested in Ankara, applications may vary in other    provinces.)
	Photocopy of Identification card (1 copy, It must have an identification number or a printout must be taken from the internet )
	Certified copy  of the identification card, From the Birth Registration Office or Neighborhood Headman  (1 copy)
	4 passport size photos
	Certificate of  residence- From the Birth Registration Office or Neighborhood Headman (1  original 1 photocopy)
	Criminal Record - "double investigation”. (it must not be dated earlier than six months from the date of application) (those who have a record shall annex the court verdict)
	Security Investigation and Archive Survey Form (signed, with photo, 2 copies, approved by headman)
	A petition,  related to private security work permit request, addressed to the Governorship,  ready for approval
	Private security identification card ready for approval with photo and filled in with a typewriter
	Health report (with photo)
	Receipt certifying the payment of the license fee
	Private Security training Certificate

 

Documents Required for Work Permit of Persons Who Wish to Convert Their Unarmed Private Security Identification Card into an Armed Private Security Identification Card

 

	(if not submitted in the unarmed private security identification card application) Diploma photocopy (1 copy, notary approved) (Notary approved photocopies are requested in Ankara, applications may vary in other provinces.)
	Certificate of  residence- , From the Birth Registration Office or Neighborhood Headman (1  original 1 photocopy)
